In remembrance of Jack D. Dunitz

Jack studied and worked in Glasgow, Oxford, Pasadena, Bethesda, London and during 64 years at the ETH in Zürich. During his long and productive career Prof. Dunitz made important contributions to crystal structure analysis and applied the technique to a wide variety of chemical, physical and crystallographic problems. He was a shining example as a scientist and a faithful friend to many of us in Switzerland and world wide.
