SGK Teaser PhD Prize

Call for submissions for the SSCr award for an outstanding thesis in crystallography for 2023!

Among its many activities, the Swiss Society for Crystallography (SSCr) supports young crystallographers by awarding outstanding doctoral theses in crystallography. The call for submissions in now open, and the reward includes scientific exchanges with our society, an invitation for our annual meeting, and a financial sum.

Bern view from garden

We have extended the deadline (now: Dec 7th) for a two-year advanced postdoc position at the University of Bern, jointly located in chemistry and mineralogy. It will deal with the advancement of quantum crystallographic techniques and application to mineralogical solid network compounds. The candidate should have some experience in quantum chemistry, programming and structure determination. This type of employment is aimed at consolidating a position as a scientist/academic with regard to qualification for a professorship.
